We welcome theoretical and applied papers from a variety of areas and disciplines from interested economists and researchers – whether in academia, central banks or financial institutions. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

– Innovation in retail payments including online payments, mobile payments, omnichannel payments realtime payments and block chain payment technology.
– Pricing, competition, regulation issues and switching behaviour in retail payments
– Access to the payment account, privacy and identity issues
Payment habits and use of different payment instruments
– Usage of retail payments data in economic analysis and macro-economic forecasting
