- Consumers who are 45 years or older have reported systematically higher inflation expectations relative to others.
- Based on responses to our survey question, respondents with at least a bachelor’s degree have higher inflation expectations relative to consumers who have not completed a bachelor’s degree.
- Since August 2021, female consumers have reported higher annual inflation expectations than males.
- Consumers in households earning between $50K and $100K in income have reported slightly higher inflation expectations relative to others.
- Since Summer 2021, consumers in Northeastern states have reported lower inflation expectations relative to other regions.
