đź“© Submission deadline: 28 February 2026

The ECONDAT 2026 Spring Meeting invites submissions at the frontier of economics, data, and artificial intelligence. As generative AI, high-frequency and unconventional data, and advanced machine-learning methods rapidly reshape economic research and policy, this workshop aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue on both the use of these tools and their economic implications.

We welcome empirical and theoretical papers on topics including (but not limited to):

  • Generative, agentic, and multimodal AI in economic analysis
  • Machine learning, agent-based models, and complex systems
  • Econometrics–AI intersections, including forecasting
  • Large-scale, high-frequency, or novel datasets
  • Synthetic data and its research and policy implications
  • Risks, governance, and regulation of AI in the economy

Full papers are preferred; extended abstracts will be considered only exceptionally. The conference will be in person only.

🎤 Keynote speaker: Barbara Rossi (Universitat Pompeu Fabra)

Authors of accepted papers will be notified by the end of March 2026. Submissions and enquiries should be sent to econdat@banque-france.fr
