The Federal Reserve Board of Governors invites submissions to the 20th annual Day-Ahead Conference on Financial Markets and Institutions, taking place on January 6, 2027, in Washington, D.C. Held immediately after the ASSA Annual Meeting, the conference provides a platform for economists from central banks and academia to share policy-relevant research and engage in discussion on key financial sector issues.

Topics of Interest
Submissions are welcome on a broad range of themes related to financial markets and institutions, including monetary policy implementation, financial stability, nonbank intermediation, banking regulation, household finance, real estate markets, financial innovation (including AI), and emerging risks such as cryptocurrencies and global interconnectedness.

Submission Details
Papers should be submitted by June 30, 2026, to FRS-Day-Ahead-Conference@frb.gov. Completed drafts are preferred over extended abstracts. Presenters and discussants are expected to cover their own travel expenses.
