The conference will be hosted by the Central Bank of Chile in Santiago on May 3–4, 2027.

This event will bring together leading researchers and policymakers to discuss emerging challenges in inflation dynamics and currency risks in an increasingly uncertain global environment. The program will feature a keynote address by Oleg Itskhoki (Harvard University).

We invite submissions of high-quality empirical and theoretical research on topics including, but not limited to:

  • Inflation behavior following large global shocks
  • Currency risk premia and global risk cycles
  • Geopolitical fragmentation and inflation volatility
  • Capital flows and external vulnerabilities
  • Trade policy, exchange rates, and monetary policy

The submission deadline is September 15, 2026, and authors of accepted papers will be notified by October 30, 2026.

Submitting authors are expected to present at the conference. There is no submission fee, and limited funding for travel and accommodation will be available for presenting authors.
