The 2024 CEBRA election, conducted from October 15 – 28, 2024 resulted in the appointment and re-election of key officers, alongside broad member support for critical policies and protocols.
With over 94% approval, CEBRA is pleased to announce the successful appointment and re-election of key officers for terms starting in late 2024 and early 2025. These leaders will continue to advance CEBRA’s mission and contribute to its global initiatives.
New Appointments (Terms: November 1, 2024 – December 31, 2026)
- Egon Zakrajšek
Executive Vice President and Director of the Research Department (Federal Reserve Bank of Boston) elected as as Chapter Head, CEBRA AMERICAS Chapter - Sommarat Chantarat
Executive Director of Puey Ungphakorn Institute for Economic Research (Bank of Thailand) elected as Chapter Head, CEBRA ASIA PACIFIC Chapter
Re-Elections (Terms: January 1, 2025 – December 31, 2026)
- Martin Summer – Re-elected as CEBRA Vice President and General Secretary
- Michael Ehrmann – Re-elected as CEBRA Vice President
- Luc Laeven – Re-elected as CEBRA Chapter Head, Africa, Europe, and the Middle East
- Raphael Schoenle – Re-elected as CEBRA Advisor/Consultant
Please note the current term of Raphael Auer, President of CEBRA, is ending 31 December 2026 and is therefore not up for re-election at current.
